Highlands Apartments

United Seattle is excited to share about a recent project that we truly loved working on. Nestled at 2800 NE 12th St in Renton, WA, we partnered with Pacific Continental to breathe life into the exterior of a beautiful building.

Our first task was to install a Tyvek Commercial Wrap WRB along with 3/8x2" plywood battens to create a reliable rain screen. Think of it as the building's protective coat, ready to face the ever-changing Pacific Northwest weather.

Next, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work on the siding. We used Woodtone prefinished cement fiber lap siding, which is a bit like the best of both worlds - it has the charm of wood and the toughness of fiber cement. This gave the building a neat, polished look that's also built to last.

For a bit of a twist, we also added James Hardie cement fiber panel siding with slick metal trim/reveals. This wasn't just about adding another layer of protection to the building; it was about giving it a modern, stylish look that makes it stand out from the crowd.

Then, it was time for the finishing touches - and that meant bringing in our paint team. Armed with their brushes and rollers, they worked their magic, adding color and character to the building. Their skilled work highlighted the textures of the siding and brought a sense of depth and warmth to the property.
