Modern Coastal Farmhouse Style Home in Hansville

Property Overview

Our client bought the land intending to turn it into their home with his wife two years ago. Together with their idea of emphasizing the beauty of the site by simply building a coastal home type, they started building a team to make all of this happen.

The goal of this redesign is to polish the finishing of the interiors; crafting an inviting space that's both stylish and functional, adding up luxurious contemporary feels within the different rooms of the 270 sq ft house.

Existing Conditions

Our clients' interiors are solely made from scratch. You will see drywalls from everywhere. The whole area is very spacious and each corner has a magnificent view of the cozy surrounding around the site.

The main objective of this redesign is to incorporate a luxurious and traditional contemporary look from all over the place. At the same time, showcasing the unwithered beauty of the site. Making each space organized and cozy for each activity of the family.

The Plan

We proposed a traditional style layout of the kitchen and bathroom that is timeless and classic with a touch of contemporary and Modern Coastal Farmhouse Style exterior design, leaving a vivid impression for the whole structure.

• Monochromatic kitchen with an Island layout accented with beautiful black matte fixtures and hardware for a touch of modern with this traditional style kitchen.
• Each bathroom wall offers mixed creative textures and patterned lines to define each personality and bring the whole bathroom together; this emphasizes the modern contemporary feels of the house without exaggerating the design.
• Installing fireplace using an Anthracite Matte Olympia tile.
• Exterior would be a Coastal-inspired Farmhouse style with a contemporary look and an all-white Hardie plank siding complementing the black-trimmed windows that makes it a timeless appeal.
• Installing neutral tones of wooden laminated floorings to pair with the furnishings seamlessly.

Design Vision

Our design includes updating the kitchen from framing and dry-wall into traditional contemporary look, up-scale bathroom designs and accented fixtures.

All white paint is used all over the place and accented with matte black finishes for a clean look. Using a white shaker cabinet is one of the highlights for each room in this home remodel.

The Process

The whole renovation started from scrap, where drywalls and woods are freshly assembled. As this newly built home needs a lot of re-crafting and improvement. Going into details and demystifying the whole process as to the design and actual building and setting up priorities to build their design vision. The client envisioned a coastal home that complements well to the water view and provides the full potential the slot has to offer.

Structural Details of the Home

The two-story house consists of a high ceiling that gives the whole place a lighter feel. Each room is very spacious, and natural light strikes through the whole area. With the help of creative teams from TOV Siding, the walls provide a good foundation of different wood frames. These features give way to our three sliding doors for the patio and the huge whiteboard door behind the cozy lounge.

Highlighted Design Features

This Classic Contemporary interior design is accented mostly with matte black fixtures that add sophistication to every corner. We took advantage of this 10-foot high ceiling by adding a kitchen cabinet for maximizing the storage space. The whole place was painted white for a clean finish, and the floors are Oak-style LVP.

• We installed an elegant waterfall Calacatta quartz countertop for a modern look finish.
• There are a french entryway door, three sliding patio doors that blur the line between indoor and outdoor living, and large windows that frame the stunning outdoor scenery.
• Tencer Gradient crayon glazed ceramic tiles in matte blue and deco anthology - deco tile in original B light blue for half bath walls with matte black wall mount faucet, hexagon-shaped mirror, and sconces.
• We installed a freestanding tub along with the window for natural lighting.

The Outcome
